Egg Allergy Symptoms

Egg allergies can vary depending on the particular persons allergy. Like all allergies you get severe cases and mild cases. The specific allergy reactions can include the following:

  • The nose may become inflamed (allergic rhinitis)
  • Vomiting, diarrhoea & stomach cramps.
  • Wheezing, may be difficault to breath, may seem like asthma symptoms.

What causes an allergic reaction to eggs?

All allergies are caused by an overreaction by your systems antibodies. Your system assumes that the egg is going to harm your body, overreacts and uses histamine and over chemicals to try and protect you. The overdose in histamine is what actually causes the allergy symptoms.

Im allergic to eggs, can i eat the yoke?

More often than not people with egg allergies are allergic to both the yoke and the white, it is risk i wouldnt be willing to take. It is more common in egg allergy sufferers to be more allergic to the egg white than the yoke.
